I was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout as a youth. As a Cub I earned my Arrow of Light. As a Boy Scout I believe I made it as far as First Class.

In 2006 I rejoined Scouting when my son joined the local Pack as a Tiger. Within that year I went from “uncommitted” to Tiger Den Leader to Assistant Cubmaster and unofficial Webmaster. The following year I took over as Cubmaster. In 2010 when my son bridged to the local troop I transitioned to Assistant Scoutmaster. In 2011 I became the Scoutmaster of Troop 83.

In 2011 I joined up with another great bunch of volunteers at ShelterBox. I am an Ambassador for ShelterBox for the NJ area and have aspirations of joining the ShelterBox Response Team (SRT).
