The 22nd of February is an important day for Scouts worldwide. Today, we celebrate Lord Baden–Powell and Lady Olave birthdays also known as Founders Day, we also remember that the Scout Movement was founded by Lord Baden-Powell over one hundred years ago.
> Started the day by wishing all my international Scout friends a happy Founder’s Day. From the start Scouting has been about a worldwide community – social media has made that community much more accessible and I’m grateful for the friends I’ve made around the world.
> Downloaded for later reading, Baden Powell’s Education in Love in Place of Fear, presented by BP in 1922 at the 3rd International Congress on Moral Education;
> Responded to an inquiry about summer camp options for incoming Scouts;
> Tonight I’m hoping to make a little headway on my Blue & Gold preparations but before that happens some “family time” is in order.
Happy Founders Day!
