Thursdays are easily my favorite night of the week. It means the weekend is almost here but there’s still time to wrap things up. It’s also the night of our weekly Troop meeting. Out of 100 Days of Scouting I figure I’ve got about 14 in the bag easy
Before the meeting I:
> Helped out the Cubmaster by adjusting access controls and reminding pack parents of login info for ScoutTrack
> Called to check in on a family that signed up in December but hasn’t been to a meeting since
At the Troop meeting:
> opening color guard for VFW’s monthly members meeting
> presented the 2011 Charter to the COR and IH
> finalized location choices for next 3 months of campouts
> everyone’s in for snow-tubing
> good skill instructions on choking first aid and then reach, throw, go in the snow outside.
It’s typical that we meet in various meeting areas within the VFW. We’re small so it’s easy to be flexible. Tonight they had us in a loft area that try just cleaned out. I don’t know if we could consider it “our space” yet but it’s big enough to hold us with growth and has a lot of potential. It’s got a natural clubhouse feel to it. I’d love to get some Scout posters up – hopefully one from the Summit.
So that’s Day 3. Now it’s off to my other favorite thing about Thursday nights – survival series on Discovery.

You need to put up a movie poster of “Follow me boys” in the Clubhouse!
